Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter

Friday June 20th 2025, 5-8 pm Ages 21+ ONLY Celebrate the solstice and longest day of the year with Swaner! Help us tackle invasive weeds on the Preserve and improve habitat quality and wetland functionality. CAN'T MAKE IT UNTIL AFTER 5 PM? No problem! Please just email us to let us know so we know to look out for you. Volunteers will head out onto the Preserve to pull invasive weeds, and afterwards head back to the EcoCenter to enjoy the back deck from 7 - 8pm. Pizza, beer, and non-alcoholic seltzers will be provided to all volunteers. YOU MUST REGISTER TO ATTEND the event and be 21 years of age or older. ID's will be checked at the door.

Volunteers should wear closed-toe sturdy shoes, pants, hat, bug spray, and sunscreen. Bring water and a snack if needed. Work gloves will be available to borrow but bring your own if there is a pair you prefer. We will be walking over uneven terrain and bending over for extended periods of time.
