Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter
Do you enjoy working with children and making crafts? We’re seeking creative and fun volunteers every Sunday from 10:30am-1:15pm. Join us for one Sunday or multiple days! Key Responsibilities: - Invites children to participate in a themed craft made from sustainable or recycled materials (determined by Swaner staff) - Assists children with craft, if necessary - Set-up and clean-up
Length of Appointment: Flexible (volunteers can sign up for one time only or on a regular basis). Time Commitment: -Sunday Craft takes place from 11am to 1pm on every Sunday at the EcoCenter. -Volunteers must arrive 30 minutes prior to the 11am start-time in order to set up craft and become familiar with instructions and expect to stay 15 to 20 minutes after for clean-up. Qualifications: - Age 12 and up - Comfortable working with children - Enjoys making crafts - Must be able to read and follow instructions - Pleasant manner, good communication skills, patient and reliable Support: - Volunteers will receive a brief training session on start date. - Craft volunteers will receive written craft instructions, with materials list included, upon arrival to EcoCenter.
