05/23/26 Birds, Beaks, and Binoculars: Family Birding Day

Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter

Join us for a feather-filled Family Birding Day at Swaner Preserve & EcoCenter on Saturday, May 23rd! Volunteers will assist with leading family-friendly activity stations focused on learning about birds and spotting them on the Preserve. This open-house style event runs from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with families welcome to drop in anytime to explore, learn, and connect with birds and their habitats. Volunteer roles include: -Assisting with setup and takedown of activity stations -Engaging families and kids at interactive, hands-on learning stations -Restocking and organizing supplies throughout the event -Encouraging curiosity and discovery about birds Volunteers will arrive at 9:30 AM to help with setup, receive a brief orientation, and stay until 1:30 PM for cleanup. Activity station descriptions will be emailed to volunteers prior to the event.
